The most special thing about this chaat is that it is available to be eaten only for three to four months in the entire year during the winter season. Let us know the story behind this chaat, why is it called Daulat ki Chaat?

A stall of Daulat ki Chaat from Delhi was set up in a National Street Food Festival in the country’s capital Delhi. Rajkumar Baburam, the operator of this stall, told that in Lucknow and Kanpur it is called malai butter, in Banaras it is called malaiyo and in Delhi it is called daulat ki chaat.

He told that in this Chaat, milk is churned in a big pan under the open sky at night, from which foam starts coming out. Daulat ki chaat is made from this foam. He told that this foam is kept in a special vessel under the open sky overnight. Due to dew drops, a cream layer is formed on top of the milk. He told that to make this chaat, do not use Amul or any packet milk, use pure buffalo milk.

Where to get chaat in Delhi
If you want to taste Daulat ki Chaat in Delhi, then it is available only in Chandni Chowk of Old Delhi. To reach here, you will have to take metro on Yellow Line and get down at Chandni Chowk station. As soon as you leave Gate No. 2, you will find Daulat Ki Chaat in Parantha Street at a short distance. The price of this chaat is ₹100 a plate. One can reach here from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
